The engineers at Porsche went after a special engine for this special Porsche. The GT3 is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six, that shares certain architecture with the GT3 racing engine as well as the unit that powered the GT1 to a Le Mans victory in 1998. The result is 380 bhp at your disposal at 7400 rpm., with a redline limit around 8200 revs. The German Manufacturer claims 0-100 in about 4.3 seconds, 0-200 in around 14.2, and a top speed of 300 kmh.

The six-speed manual transmission which is the only gearbox offered for this mode, received new internals components, specifically for this mode. Fourth and fifth gears are shorter, and the top four gears use steel rather than brass synchros for greater durability.
